"Sometimes it seem like to tell the truth today is to run the risk of being killed. But if I fall, I'll fall five feet four inches forward in the fight for freedom. I'm not backing off." - Fannie Lou Hamer
I am Black. I am a human. I am my ancestors' prayers and I am a racist's worst enemy. I am the light at the end of a dark tunnel and I am free like a waterfall that never ends. I am me, wonderfully made in God's image and I am not a stereotype. I am not a statistic, I am love. I have no hate because I was born to elevate. I am filled with grace, because my skin color speaks volume before my lips even move. I am strong and I am most of all powerful. I CANNOT and SHALL NOT be moved.
I am surrounded by Black people, I adore Black people, I live for Black people and as long as I live, I am proud of being Black. I pray for the future, because of my son, my brother, and every other Black male that I love and care about, even the ones I have never met. I pray that their footsteps are guided in the right path and I also pray that no weapon formed against them shall EVER prosper. I also pray for my Black women, who are bold, who are elegant and wise beyond measures, that their skin color will rise before it will allow them to fall. I lastly pray for America, a nation built by the enslaved and was never meant for my kind anyways. I pray safety, peace and hope over the many powerful protests and riots that have taken place. I am praying for a broken nation to be healed.
REMEMBER, you are POWER. A power no one can take it away from you. I love you, and stay safe 🖤❤️✊🏿
